Tires & Wheels: Tire Rotation

Picture

Description:

Tire rotation refers to the regular practice of switching the position of each tire on the car.

Purpose:

Tire rotation helps to equalize tread wear and is critical to gain the maximum life from your tire investment.

Maintenance Suggestions:

Refer to your owner's manual for the recommended rotation interval & pattern; generally a rotation interval of 6,000 miles is recommended. The rotation pattern varies with different makes & models, which shows the tire locations during rotation. Some vehicles have different size tires on the front & back or directional tires. This limits the locations that a tire may take on the vehicle. When in doubt, check the owner's manual or consult a professional technician for guidance. Tire rotation time also offers a good opportunity to have the tires & wheels balanced. It's another step you can take to maximize your tire investment.

What Our Clients Are Saying

"Hayes Automotive is by far the best auto repair shop I've ever dealt with. I was driving across country & ended up with a serious issue on my vehicle. They worked me into an already booked up day & had my truck fixed within hours, when other auto shops were telling me it would take days to fix. They went well out of their way to accommodate me while my truck was being worked on. The staff at Hayes Automotive is extremely professional & knowledgeable. They treat you like family. Their work speaks for itself. I made it to where I was going thanks to Nick & the team at Hayes!" - David Z.
